Kolben Chemicals Canada is adding a reformulated DOT 4 brake fluid (SKU KB-420) to the Eastern distribution range from this week. The new revision targets workshops, fleets, and pro shops carrying the Kolben line in Ontario and Quebec, with bilingual EN/FR labels and updated technical and safety documentation on file. This copy is placeholder pending review.
The reformulation lifts the fluid's dry boiling point and keeps compatibility with modern ABS, ESP, and hydraulic-clutch systems. SDS and TDS revisions are available in the Compliance & SDS library; distributors can request a printed pack from the customer-service desk.
What is in the catalogue
The release is part of the 2026 range update. Distributors carrying Kolben already have catalogue access from this week, with first deliveries timed to the regular monthly cycle. The product specification, application notes, and certifications are documented in the technical data sheet — link the TDS from the compliance library rather than restating values here.
- Dry boiling point raised in the new revision; see TDS for the confirmed value.
- ABS, ESP and modern hydraulic-clutch compatibility retained.
- Bilingual EN/FR labels standard on every Canadian SKU.
- SDS R-2026.05 available in both languages from the Compliance library.
How to order
Existing distributors place orders through the standard channel. Shops and fleets without a distributor relationship should use the Where to Buy tool to locate the nearest authorised distributor, or contact the Canadian sales desk for a sample pack.
What to expect next
A second wave brings the 5 L workshop pack to the Western distribution range later in the year — confirmed timing will be published in a follow-up note. The team is also working through a small refresh of the application chart on the product detail page; expect that update inside the quarter.
- This week · 1 L SKU live across Eastern distribution.
- Next quarter · 5 L workshop pack to Western distribution.
- Ongoing · application-chart refresh on the product detail page.
